Plot

The Enterprise is tasked to transport Salia, the dauphin of the planet Daled IV back to her homeworld where she is to be ruler. Once on the Enterprise Salia meets Wesley Crusher where they are both instantly attracted to each other. Only Salia's guardian, an elderly woman is very protective of Salia and refuses to let her speak to anyone let alone leave her quarters. This doesn't stop Salia from escaping and meeting Wesley. Only they soon learn that Salia's guardian is a shapeshifter as is Salia. This creates a tension between Wesley and Salia but in the end they make up and he sees her to her home planet.
