TNG Season 6 Episode 19
Air Date: April 5th, 1993

Captain Picard starts a relationship with the new leader of stellar cartography, Lt. Commander Nella Daren. The relationship builds around music. Nella is a pianist and Captain Picard has his flute from the episode The Inner Light. But as the episode develops and the relationship grows, there are conflict of interests that develop that make things harder. The biggest conflict is when Nella is assigned on a mission that could become a suicide mission and when it is believed she died, Picard got very depressed to the point of almost not wanting to captain a ship. It turned out she survived but they both realized that a relationship between the two where he could give an order that gets her killed would not be good for either. She transfers to another ship.

Eight people did die in the episode but none on screen so I can't determine what colour uniform they were wearing. Most were blue but I can't give a number.
