TNG Season 7 Episode 6
Air Date: October 25th, 1993

Lt. Cmdr. Data starts having dreams that are twisted and weird. Things like Doctor Crusher drinking blood out of Cmdr Riker's head or Counselor Troi being represented as a cake that everyone is eating. During the episode we start to learn that the dreams are Data's subconscious telling him that there is a threat, a parasitic creature that lives in another phase of existence. He realizes that the dream is also indicating their weakness which he uses to get rid of all the parasites before everyone dies. This episode is one I was looking forward to seeing since starting TNG.

"Something wrong, sir?" - Cmdr. Riker
"I just got a message from Starfleet Command." - Captain Picard
"Bad news?" - Cmdr. Riker
"You could say that. I've been invited to the annual Starfleet Admirals banquet." - Captain Picard
"My condolences." - Cmdr. Riker

"Bridge to Engineering. Mr. La Forge, why isn't my ship moving?" - Captain Picard

"I believe you are experiencing a classic dismemberment dream. Or in your case, being a mechanical man, a dismantlement dream." - Dr. Sigmund Freud

"Data, you must be the first person who's come into my office and been excited at the prospect of a new neurosis." - Counselor Troi

"You must provide him with a sandbox, and you must talk to him. Tell him he is a pretty cat, and a good cat" - Lt. Cmdr. Data
"I will feed him." - Lt. Worf
"Perhaps that will be enough." - Lt. Cmdr. Data

"I wonder. What would Dr. Freud say about the symbolism of devouring oneself?" - Lt. Cmdr. Data
"Data, sometimes a cake is just a cake." - Counselor Troi
